Fille de Ben Greenleaf et de Mary Ella Travis, elle fait des études de communication avant de démarrer une carrière de chanteuse. Diunna fut présidente de la Houston Blues Society et participa au programme Blues in the Schools. Ce premier album auto-édité présente Diunna Greenleaf - belle chanteuse à la voix puissante - sur une scène de Houston avec son groupe Blue Mercy (avec le bon guitariste John Richardson). Malheureusement, le programme s'avère trop long et ne contient que des reprises de standards. Daughter of Ben Greenleaf and Mary Ella Travis, she studied communication before starting a career as a singer. Diunna was president of the Houston Blues Society and participated in the Blues in the Schools program. This self-released debut album features Diunna Greenleaf - a nice singer with a powerful voice - on a Houston stage with her band Blue Mercy (featuring the good guitarist John Richardson). Unfortunately, the program turns out to be too long and only contains standard covers. |

La tracklist est remplie de titres accrocheurs et puissants, pleins de feeling comme "Never trust a man", "If it wasn't for the blues", "Answer to the hard working woman", "I don't care", "Damned if I do", "I know I've been changed" (un superbe Gospel chanté avec Alabama Mike), "Back door man".
