Né dans le Mississippi, George a grandit à Buffalo (New York). Il apprend d'abord le piano puis se tourne vers la guitare dès 1959. George devient un musicien régulier de la scène de Buffalo. En janvier 1963, il s'installe à Milwaukee où habite sa soeur. Il continue sa carrière de musicien tout en travaillant comme soudeur. Lorsqu'il est licencié, George devient le propriétaire de deux clubs (The Godfather, The Blue Flame) pendant sept ans. C'est à cette époque qu'il rencontre Johnny Rawls qui lui propose d'enregistrer un album complet. Bon chanteur et guitariste, George propose des titres accrocheurs qui valent l'écoute : "Stop your cryin'", "Except me", "Gonna keep on" (en duo avec Mary Taylor), "A bluesman", "Standing in the rain".

Born in Mississippi, George grew up in Buffalo (New York). He first learned the piano and then turned to the guitar in 1959. George became a regular musician on the Buffalo scene. In january 1963, he moved to Milwaukee where his sister lived. He continued his musical career while working as a welder. When he was laid off, George became the owner of two clubs (The Godfather, The Blue Flame) for seven years. It was during this time that he met Johnny Rawls who suggested he record a full album. A skilled singer and guitarist, George offers catchy tracks that are well worth listening to : "Stop your cryin'", "Except me", "Gonna keep on" (a duet with Mary Taylor), "A bluesman", "Standing in the rain".
