THE BLUES SOUL OF JAY OWENS

Indigo

April - May 1992

Wright, Little Milton, Aaron Neville, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Latimore, Donny Hathaway, Bill Withers. "Come on to my house", "Stepping stone", "Lake City FLA", "Back row", "Why you treat me this way", "Missing you blues" figurent parmi les moments les plus intenses du programme.

MOVIN' ON

Code Blue

September - October 1994

Very disappointing after his superb first album, this "Movin' on" has a more amplified and less subtle guitar sound. The music is also resolutely moving towards a more commercial and conventional Soul-Blues. We can nevertheless point out "Movin' on" and "Workin' man" quite interesting.
