Lonnie Pitchford grava quelques morceaux pour le musicologue Axel Küstner qui prirent place dans la série d'anthologies "Living Country Blues USA". Il est un spécialiste de la guitare une corde notamment sur des versions excitantes de "Boogie chillun", "My babe" ou "My baby walked away". Un style qui peut paraitre répétitif mais profondément original et évocateur. A la guitare six cordes, Lonnie délivre une très jolie version de "Shake your moneymaker".
Lonnie Pitchford recorded some tracks for musicologist Axel Küstner which were included in the anthology series "Living Country Blues USA". He is a specialist of one-string guitar in particular on exciting versions of "Boogie chillun", "My babe" or "My baby walked away". A style that may seem repetitive but deeply original and evocative. On six strings guitar, Lonnie delivers a very nice version of “Shake your moneymakerâ€.

Pour son premier album complet, Lonnie joue aussi bien de la guitare six cordes que de la guitare une corde. Majoritairement acoustique, il fait par moments évoluer sa musique vers le style électrique. Entièrement dévolu au Delta Blues, il délivre de belles versions de "All around man", "If I had possession over judgment day" (disponible en acoustique et en électrique), "This is the blues", "The ghetto", "Louisiana blues". Lonnie est aussi un excellent chanteur à la voix expressive et subtile.
For his first full-length album, Lonnie plays both six-string and one-string guitar. Mainly acoustic, he sometimes evolves his music towards the electric style. Entirely devoted to Delta Blues, he delivers beautiful versions of "All around man", "If I had possession over judgment day" (available in acoustic and in electric), "This is the blues", "The ghetto", "Louisiana blues". Lonnie is also an excellent singer with an expressive and subtle voice.
