MODERN CHICAGO BLUESTestament 1963 |
La version CD ajoute "I've got my eyes on you". Born in Mississippi, he first played in the traveling company of the Rabbit Foot Minstrels for a few years. MAXWELL STREET JIMMY DAVISElektra 1964 - 1965 |
CHICAGO BLUES SESSION vol.11Wolf November 1988 / February 1989 |
I've been a fool a long time", "In your redroom", "One-eyed woman". We find here two separate sessions (one produced by Hannes Folterbauer, the other by Michael Frank) in which Jimmy plays alone or as the leader of a small backing band. A nice program of Delta Blues - between Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf - played with passion : "I've been a fool a long time", "In your redroom", "One-eyed woman". There are three additional tracks on the CD version. He died in the last days of 1995 of a heart attack. |
