TOO MUCH COMPETITIONSundown July 1951 - December 1962 |
On trouve l'intéressant "Eyesight to the blind" gravé en mars 1951 avec The Larks. THE RED ROBIN & FIRE YEARSCollectables 1953 / Late 1958 - 1962 LOCK ME IN YOUR HEARTCharly 1953 / Late 1958 - 1965 |
Certains morceaux d'inspiration Rhythm & Blues sont très sympathiques ("Can't stay away from you", "It's too late", "Can't stay away") mais d'autres ballades pop romantiques paraissent bien surannées aujourd'hui. Here we find his excellent "Too much competition" but the CD is dedicated to the titles he cut with Ann Sandford (aka Little Ann), his future wife, in a Rhythm & Blues style for the Fire label. Some Rhythm & Blues inspired tracks are very nice ("Can't stay away from you", "It's too late", "Can't stay away") but other romantic pop ballads seem very old-fashioned today. |

NO TIME AT ALLTrix November 1970 - September 1974 |
