Dès l'enfance, il partage sa vie entre la musique et la religion (adulte il devient pasteur baptiste). Dès le début des années 70, il est actif musicalement dans la région de Baton Rouge. Il fait partie des Condors pendant plusieurs années. Grâce au producteur Steve Coleridge, il trouve l'opportunité de graver ce premier album (uniquement disponible en cassette). Bien que souffrant d'une production limitée, le disque prometteur laisse entrevoir un bluesman inspiré et sensible comme sur "Let me be your man", "Light in a dark place" (où il joue tous les instruments), "Living with the blues" et une reprise sympathique de "Don't start me talkin'". From childhood, he shared his life between music and religion (as an adult he became a baptist preacher). From the early 70's, he was musically active in the Baton Rouge area. He was part of the Condors for several years. Thanks to the producer Steve Coleridge, he finds the opportunity to cut this first album (only available on cassette). Although suffering from a limited production, this promising disc shows an inspired and sensitive bluesman as on "Let me be your man", "Light in a dark place" (where he plays all instruments), "Living with the blues" and a nice cover of "Don't start me talkin'". |

Chanteur à la voix subtile et guitariste au jeu élégant, il offre de belles compositions personnelles comme "Walkin' the floor", le slow blues "Reconcile", "Light in a dark place", "Let me be your man", "Power up". Thanks to John Stedman and his friend Larry Garner (who produces the album), T-Bone Singleton offers here a superb album between contemporary blues and Swamp Blues. Singer with a subtle voice and guitarist with elegant playing, he offers beautiful personal compositions like "Walkin' the floor", the slow blues "Reconcile", "Light in a dark place", "Let me be your man", "Power up". |
