CALL ME MISS WANDAErwin August 2003 |
Un programme rempli de bons titres composés par Wanda ou Erwin : "Can you handle this", "If I rise in the morning", "Airport road", "I'm through with you".
Encore une fois, on trouve de bonnes compositions : "Hot potato", "Drop in the bucket", "Blues ain't nothin' but a color", "Enjoy the ride" ou la chanson-titre "Natural resource". For this second album, still under the supervision of Gary Erwin, Wanda Johnson sings a Blues sometimes with Soul elements in the continuation of her first album. Again, we find nice compositions : "Hot potato", "Drop in the bucket", "Blues ain't nothin' but a color", "Enjoy the ride" or the title song "Natural resource". |

HOLD WHAT YOU GOTErwin December 2007 |
La tracklist s'avère très consistante remplie de superbes titres comme "Wheel your love to me", "Believe me baby", "Give your face a rest", "Rinding out this love", "Walkin' don't cost nothin'". This third album probably remains her most accomplished album to date. Wanda sings beautifully between Blues, Rhythm & Blues, Gospel and Soul accompanied by her regular backing band (whose leader is her producer Shrimp City Slim). The tracklist is very consistent filled with superb titles like "Wheel your love to me", "Believe me baby", "Give your face a rest", "Rinding out this love", "Walkin' don't cost nothin'". |

THINGS CHANGEWanda Johnson 2013 |
Un programme inégal avec quelques bons moments comme "Leave your key", "The beauty of who you are", "Sweet tea" mais globalement la plupart des titres manque cruellement d'originalité. With this record, Wanda launches into self-production. An uneven program with some good moments like "Leave your key", "The beauty of who you are", "Sweet tea" but overall the most titles sorely lacking in originality. |

SLOW DOWNWanda Johnson 2019 |
Wanda Johnson delivers here a very Blues program, not really original but well constructed. Sometimes uneven, we can however point out in this tracklist "Everything", "Hide", "Slow down", "Up close" which deserve careful listening. |
