Dans cet album produit par Gary Edwards pour le label Sound of New Orleans, Warren montre qu'il est - malgré ses limitations au chant - un excellent trompettiste et flûtiste. Il est notamment accompagné ici de l'accordéoniste Dwight Carrier et du guitariste Gabriel Perrodin Jr (le fils de Guitar Gable). Dans ce programme intéressant mais inégal, on apprécie "La lune bleue", "Valse de Grand Basile", "Zydeco shuffle", "Zydeco sont pas sale", "Zydeco coteau", "Bernadette". En plus de son activité de musicien, Warren a publié plusieurs vidéos culinaires ("Country Caesar's kitchen"). Il décède prématurément d'une rupture d'anévrisme en mai 2000. On this album, produced by Gary Edwards for the Sound of New Orleans label, Warren demonstrates that he is, despite his vocal limitations, an excellent trumpeter and flautist. He is notably accompanied here by accordionist Dwight Carrier and guitarist Gabriel Perrodin Jr (Guitar Gable's son). In this interesting but uneven program, we appreciate "La lune bleue", "Valse de Grand Basile", "Zydeco shuffle", "Zydeco sont pas sale", "Zydeco coteau", "Bernadette". In addition to his musical activities, Warren released several cooking videos ("Country Caesar's kitchen"). He died prematurely of a ruptured aneurysm in may 2000. |
